The presence of colloidal silver near a virus, a fungus, a bacterium or any other single-celled pathogenic microbe, disables its oxygen metabolism enzyme, its chemical lung, so to speak. Within a few minutes, usually 5, the pathogenic microbe suffocates and dies and is then eliminated from the body by the immune and lymphatic systems. Unlike pharmaceutical antibiotics that destroy beneficial enzymes, colloidal silver leaves these cellular and tissue enzymes intact, as they are radically different from the enzymes of primitive single-cell life. In this way, colloidal silver is absolutely safe for humans, plants, reptiles, and all multicellular living things. Silver has been used as an effective germicide since the year 1900. It was an important support in medical treatment and today's technology has made it even superior. The medical journal Lancet published surprising results with colloidal silver in 1914. Dr. Henry Crooks demonstrated that colloidal silver is highly germicidal and at the same time non-toxic to humans. Colloidal silver has been proven to be ultralight against all species of fungi, bacteria, protozoa, parasites and certain viruses. Dr. Larry C. Ford of the UCLA School of Medicine reported in 1988 that colloidal silver solutions were effective against Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Neisseria gonorrhea, Garnerella vaginalis, Salmonella typhi and other enteric pathogenic microbes. It also found that colloidal silver is a fungicide against Candida albicans, Candida globata and M. furfur. Science Digest magazine published in March 1978 in an article entitled "Our Most Potent Germicide" that colloidal silver is emerging as a wonder in modern medicine. Usually one antibiotic kills about 6 bacteria but colloidal silver kills about 650. Strains resistant to colloidal silver do not develop as they do with antibiotics. Dr. Becker, author of the book The Body Electric, discovered that silver ions promote bone growth and kill surrounding bacteria and said "we have rediscovered the fact that colloidal silver kills bacteria that had been known for centuries...when antibiotics were discovered, the use of colloidal silver as an antibiotic was abandoned.
Dr. Carl Moyer, head of the Department of Surgery at the University of Washington in 1970, said: "Colloidal silver is the best germicide we have".
